Timings The event will open to the public at 10am and traders can begin packing down at around 3pm.
Your Pitch
You are required to bring your own gazebo, tables and chairs for this event. Please also bring appropriate weights for your gazebo even if the forecast is for low winds. The space that you have been assigned must not be exceeded.
Unloading Info
Unloading will begin at 8am for those with electricity and 8:45am for those without. People will not be able to pack up until the event is finished at 3pm unless they have prior agreement.
On arrival please look for a team member in a pink hi-viz jacket who will greet you and direct you to your pitch, do not set up without being shown to your pitch. No vehicle movements are allowed on or off site beyond 9:30am. The exact location of your stand will not be available until the day. Please do not block other exhibitors when you are unloading. Stands must not be dismantled until the close of the event at 3.00pm.
It is unloading only on the Market Place. Once you have unloaded please get back into your vehicle to park it elsewhere (see Parking below).
You may erect your gazebo but must not start setting up your stall until you have moved your vehicle. All vehicles must be off site by 9:30am.
Venue Address: Melksham Vegan Market is taking place on the Market Place, Melksham which is outside and open to the public at all times. During the event no vehicles will be allowed to enter the Market Place.
Directions
If you are using a satnav/google maps please use this address to gain access to the event: Melksham Town Council, Melksham SN12 6ES. This postcode should bring you to the site. Please make sure you are not blocking the roads.
Electricity
Electricity will only be provided to those who booked in advance of the event. If you have booked electricity please bring appropriate connectors/adaptors and extension cables with you and ensure that all your equipment is PAT tested. The electric points are an industrial power socket and an extension cable or connector that fits into either a 32amp or 16amp 3 pin socket is required. Please also bring a cable cover to cover your wires.
Parking
Parking is not available in the Market Place except for unloading or loading at the beginning and end of the Fair. Exhibitors will have to park in surrounding car parks where charges do apply. Parking information can be found here: https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/article/2356/Parking-in-Melksham

Parking charge do apply on a Saturday in Melksham.
Food Trucks and Vendors
Please ensure that you place a drip catcher under your pitch to prevent any spillages ie oil onto the Market Place. If vehicles or cooking leave stains on the Market Place you will be liable for cleaning costs.
Fresh Water
If you use water on your stall it is advisable to bring as much as you need with you as it can be difficult to get through crowds to refill your containers.
Wifi
There is no wifi for this event but there is good 4G connection in the town centre.
Waste
Please take all of your waste with you as per our terms and conditions. We are unable to accommodate your waste. · Please encourage customers to bin their waste. This event is run solely by volunteers who may be discouraged from giving their time in future years if they are pre-occupied with litter collection.
Pack up
The event finishes at 3pm.
Strictly no packing away before 3pm as this could become a safety issue with patrons still at the event.
No vehicles allowed onsite till 3pm.
Vehicles will leave the site the same way you drove on going against each other, please take extra care when leaving the Market Place. An event team member will be directing traffic.
Health & Safety
Please make sure you have all your correct documentation with you in case Environmental Health officers visit the event and ask to see it. What to bring:
A copy of your public liability insurance.
A completed risk assessment
Hand sanitizer for yourself and for customers if they are handling your products.
If you are serving food/alcohol:
A copy of your Food Safety Certificate
Allergen information and risk assessment (including fire assessment if cooking)
Appropriate sneeze guards covering your food
Appropriate floor covering to protect the ground against oil spills.
All traders must have public liability insurance. If you do not have these you will not be able to trade on the day.
A copy of your TENS license if you are serving alcohol.
Security
It is the stallholder's duty to take full responsibility for their own property and the organisers cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to property however caused.
We ask that all stallholders are observant throughout the day.
Should any suspicious incidents be taking place nearby or you see unattended bags/property, a child or infirm adult needing help, a fire risk or antisocial behaviour please immediately draw this to the attention of a team member, they can be identified by pink hi-viz jackets.
Please do not manage any security issue on your own.
Emergency Evacuation and Fire Procedures
In case of a fire or a major incident please evacuate the area immediately and do not return to your stall until advised it is safe to do so by a team member
Verbal/Physical Abuse
Please note that any verbal or physical abuse towards other stallholders, members of the public, caretakers or management will not be tolerated. Any stall holder exhibiting such behaviour will be asked to leave immediately and all future events booked in with us will be immediately cancelled.
