You are applying to exhibit with us at the fantastic Marine, Troon. We will have over 40 local makers exhibit across two spacious and engaging rooms at the hotel. Please ensure that you have completed your application fully and detailed all the items that you intend to bring to the event. Space is limited and at this time we are unable to offer additional space for hanging racks and rails.

The event will run from 11am until 4pm on the day and you will be provided with a 6ft trestle table and chair. Please note that table cloths etc are not provided.

Terms and Conditions

Wylde Thistle T&Cs

Applications

  • Applications are open all year around via our Eventaly page. Details can be found on our website and social media.
  • Submitting an application does not confirm your place and is merely an expression of interest to exhibit with Wylde Thistle.
  • All invoices are due within 14 days of confirmation of your booking. Your booking is ONLY confirmed once full payment has been received.
  • The table fee includes:
  • 1x standard trestle table
  • Venue licensing
  • Wylde Thistle team present at the venue on the day of the market
  • Market processing fees
  • Marketing
  • 1x Mention on social media as part of market promotion (general post with makers tagged, provided requested photos and information are submitted)
  • 1x Mention on the website of makers attending the market

Social Media & Communication

  • All makers are required to share the event using the social media assets provided on your set up email, as well as sharing and tagging prior to the event.
  • Traders are expected to advertise their attendance before, during, and after the market.
  • We will advertise your business in a post alongside the other makers attending. Please note that posts will be scheduled right up to the event date, so please do not worry if you are not mentioned in the first one.
  • Wylde Thistle will endeavour to reply to emails and messages as quickly as possible. If your enquiry is urgent please contact with Alice or Clair using the mobile number provided on your set up information.

Cancellation Policy

  • If the market is cancelled due to inclement weather, venue cancellation, or other unforeseen circumstances, all makers will be contacted and offered a refund or transfer to another market, where available. Please ensure that your contact details and emergency contact details are up to date on your Eventaly dashboard.
  • If a trader can no longer attend, they must inform Wylde Thistle as soon as possible.
  • If the market is more than 7 days away and the space cannot be filled, no refund will be issued. If the space can be filled, a refund will be issued, minus a £10 admin fee.
  • If the market is less than 7 days away: No refunds will be provided.

Trading Times & Set Up

  • Trading times and set up information will be emailed out to you 10 days in advance of any event. Please check your Eventaly dashboard for all the messages relating to each event
  • Traders are not permitted inside until the allotted time. If you arrive early please do not attempt to enter and start to unload.
  • The floor plan has been designed for cohesive flow and will not be altered on the day.
  • We ask that you unload your items, and relocate your car prior to setting up your table.
  • Parking is available to all makers, and you will be given information about the best place to park in your set up information provided on Eventaly.
  • Wylde Thistle will allocate each table, and makers' names will be noted on each table. Floor plans are not shared in advance.
  • Please do not cause obstructions to fellow makers or members of the public as you unload. A member of Wylde Thistle will be on hand should you need any help.
  • Wylde Thistle are not responsible for sales and monetary transactions on the day. Warranties around sales on the day will not be provided by Wylde Thistle. This is down to individual traders.

Packing Up

  • Traders must not pack up before the end of trading times.
  • If you need to leave for an emergency, please discuss this with a member of Wylde Thistle.
  • Traders who leave early will forfeit attendance at all future events, and no refunds will be issued.
  • Traders must finish packing up and leave the venue within an hour of the event finishing.

Display & Tables

  • Included within your market fee is a standard table (180cm x 90cm) and one chair.
  • Additional space for rails, print browsers, etc., is not guaranteed. Where additional space is required, this must be agreed upon with Wylde Thistle before the market.
  • WIFI is not guaranteed at our venues. Traders must be able to trade without it.
  • Lights and plug points are not provided by default. If specific lighting is required, makers are encouraged to bring their own battery-operated solutions.
  • If you have requested access to electricity points, you must ensure that your items are PAT tested. If they are not you will not be permitted to use them on the day.
  • Ensure that your table looks attractive with tablecloths, banners, etc.
  • Keep walkways within your table area clear.
  • Do not bring additional tables or use surplus tables unless agreed with Wylde Thistle.
  • Do not stick anything to the venue walls. You may be asked to remove attachments or equipment that could cause damage. Any damage caused will be billed to the maker and is not the responsibility of Wylde Thistle.
  • No more than 2 people are permitted behind your stall at any one time.
  • Pets including cats and dogs are not permitted at our venues. Please ensure that you have the appropriate care for them outside of the market venue.
  • Your business name, and pricing must clearly be displayed on your table. This is a requirement from Trading Standards.

Products, Labelling & Certification

  • Only products approved on your application may be sold at your stall. You may be asked to remove any additional products on the day
  • Alcohol and food producers must display any required certificates.
  • Food vendors must submit their EH and PLI certificates before each event to [email protected]
  • Trading Standards may carry out spot inspections, and it is your responsibility to ensure that your products are labelled properly and that you have the appropriate certification for your craft. If you are found to not have the correct information, they may ask you to leave the event.
  • You must have access to your PLI certificate on the day.
  • Traders must comply with all relevant legislation for the goods offered for sale. Contact your local trading standards for advice if needed.
  • All makers must have Product Liability Insurance (PLI) and this must be available for inspection on the day. We ask for a minimum of £1 million for each maker.

Adherence

  • It is the responsibility of makers to adhere to the Terms & Conditions at all times. Failure to adhere may result in your space being refused, including future events.
  • Wylde Thistle are not responsible for any damages, loss or theft of items before, during or after the event.
  • Wylde Thistle reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
