Dreamfest Young Makers Market

As part of the Derby Promise, Derby Market Hall will host Derby Dreamfest on Saturday 2nd May — a day dedicated to inspiring children and young people to explore their future.

Throughout the event, young people will have the opportunity to experience different careers, build practical skills, and discover the exciting possibilities of the future of work in Derby. The aim is for every young person to leave feeling confident, inspired, and ambitious about their place in the city’s future.

To complement these experiences, we’re excited to introduce a Young Makers Market.

We’re inviting talented young makers, creators, and entrepreneurs to take part by hosting a trestle table stall on the 1st floor balcony of Derby Market Hall. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to showcase and sell their handmade products while gaining valuable real-world experience in running a stall, speaking with customers, and managing sales.
