Terms and Conditions

GENERAL

All products, art works or services provided for sale must be handmade or include an element of design, or art service by the maker. 

Only products, art works or services outlined in your application can be sold as part of the event unless otherwise agreed before the commencement of the market booked. 

A  table (minimum 5.5ft x 1.5ft with a shorter shallower front table or a 6ft x 2ft) will be provided as standard as part of your booking. Small easels can be provided to enhance your display in the case of art works. Extra tables can be made available but these are not guaranteed. 

All products, art works and personal belongings are the responsibility of the stall holder. 

Coastal Artisans can not accept liability for loss or theft during any event and or at any time these are left in the venue. 

We recommend PAT testing of any personal electrical equipment that may be in use. 

Tables are allocated at the discretion of Coastal Artisans and particular tables can not be reserved. 

Traders must be set up and all bags, boxes etc stored out of sight upon commencement of the market. 

Please consider parking restrictions when attending markets. Coastal Artisans and The Grain Exchange/The Cutty Sark are not liable for parking fines or other problems arising due to loading, unloading and parking by traders or other persons. 

Traders will not pack up early at any event unless this has been discussed with Coastal Artisans and/or The Grain Exchange/The Cutty Sark representatives.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

All bookings will be secured upon payment in full of invoice for any event. 

Bookings are not guaranteed unless in reciept of payment. 

In the event a Market is cancelled by Coastal Artisans or The Grain Exchange a full refund will be provided (less £2.50 admin fee) 

In the event a trader wishes to cancel an event (prior to three weeks of booked date) a full refund will be issued (less £2.50 admin fee) 

In the event a trader wishes to cancel an event (within one to three weeks of booked date) a 50% refund will be issued (admin fee inclusive in 50% held) 

In the event a trader wishes to cancel and event within one week of booked date, no refund can be issued. Traders must give notice if not attending an event at the earliest opportunity. Future opportunities may be withheld from traders that do not show up to booked events without notice.

INSURANCE AND DOCUMENTS

All traders must have up to date Public Liability Insurance and a copy of this must be submitted to Coastal Artisans prior to your booked trading date. 

Traders selling products that require further legal documentation such as food and alcohol vendors must submit proof of these prior to their booked trading date.

PROMOTION

Traders are asked to submit images of their products that may or may not be used for promotional purposes by Coastal Artisans in both digital and print media. 

Traders are expected to share the event they are attending with their followers on social media and to promote in any way they can the event and collective generally to help promote footfall.
