Falmouth Christmas Market - On the Moor

Falmouth Christmas Market – On The Moor

We’re really excited to launch a brand-new Christmas market in the heart of Falmouth this December.

Working alongside Falmouth Town Council, Discovery Market will bring a collection of wooden Christmas cabins to The Moor for two weeks in the run-up to Christmas, creating a festive shopping destination featuring local makers, producers and independent businesses.

Dates

The market will run across two booking weeks:

Week 1
Friday 11 – Thursday 17 December 2026

Week 2
Friday 18 – Thursday 24 December 2026

Traders can apply for Week 1, Week 2 or both weeks.

Trading Hours

11am – 5pm daily

All traders are required to be open and trading for the full advertised hours on every day of their booked week.

Please only apply if you are able to commit to the full seven days. If you are unable to attend on a particular day due to illness or another reason, it is your responsibility to arrange suitable cover so that your cabin remains open.

Keeping every cabin open throughout the advertised trading hours is really important to the overall look and atmosphere of the market.

Cabin Options & Prices

3m Cabin – £500 per week
3m frontage × 2.4m deep

4.5m Cabin – £750 per week
4.5m frontage × 2.4m deep

There is no VAT to add to these prices.

The larger 4.5m cabins may also be shared between two suitable businesses, subject to approval. This works out at £375 per business for the week when shared equally.

If you would like to share a cabin with another trader, please include this within your application.

What's Included?

Your booking includes:

  • Lockable wooden Christmas cabin for the full seven-day period
  • Electricity
  • Internal lighting
  • Table
  • Padlock
  • Overnight site security

One of the big advantages of trading from a cabin is that you won't need to completely set up and pack down your stall every day.

Cabins can be locked overnight and traders may leave stock inside if they wish. However, all stock and equipment is left entirely at the trader's own risk.

Although the site will have overnight security and cabins will be individually padlocked, we recommend removing particularly high-value items overnight.

Music & Festive Entertainment

There will be live music and festive entertainment on The Moor every day throughout the market, helping us create a lively Christmas atmosphere across the full two weeks.

The market will get a particularly strong start with Falmouth Festive Weekend on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December, when The Moor will host a programme of entertainment and additional festive attractions organised alongside Falmouth Town Council.

Following the Festive Weekend, we'll continue with daily music and entertainment through to Christmas Eve.

Applications

Applications open on Friday 11 September.

The initial application window will remain open until Friday 18 September, after which we will begin reviewing applications and offering places.

Applications are not first come, first served.

We want to create a varied and high-quality Christmas market, so applications will be reviewed with the overall trader mix in mind.

You are welcome to apply for either week individually or for both weeks.

Payment

If your application is successful, payment will be split into two instalments:

50% deposit – required to secure your booking

Remaining 50% – due by 15 November 2026

Your booking is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.

All balances must be paid in full by 15 November. Failure to make payment by the required date may result in your cabin being released to another trader.

Location

The Moor, Falmouth

The cabins will be positioned together on The Moor to create a dedicated Christmas market area in the centre of town.

Further information regarding trader arrival, loading/unloading, parking and access will be provided to successful applicants closer to the event.

Important Commitment

This is a new event for Falmouth and something we're really excited to develop into a great annual Christmas market.

To make it work, we need traders who are equally committed to creating a busy, welcoming and professional market.

Before applying, please make sure that you can commit to:

  • Trading for the full seven days of your selected week
  • Opening from 11am–5pm every day
  • Arriving and opening your cabin on time
  • Keeping your cabin well stocked and presented throughout the week
  • Arranging cover if you are personally unable to attend

If that sounds like you, we'd love to receive your application and hopefully welcome you to the first Falmouth Christmas Market on The Moor.
