Unloading info

Timings:

The event will open to the public at 10am and traders can begin packing down at around 3pm.

Unloading will begin at 8:30am. People will not be able to pack up until the event is finished at 3pm unless they have prior agreement from Julia.

Venue Address:

Devizes Vegan Market is taking place on the Market Place, Devizes SN10 1JG which is outside and open to the public at all times. During the event no vehicles will be allowed to enter.

Directions

If you are using a satnav/google maps please use this address to gain access to the event Market Place, Devizes SN10 1JG

This will bring you to the Market Place, please look for someone in a high vis jacket to direct you to the correct place.

When you arrive you should be able to park in front of your pitch to unload. Please only park in front of your pitch as parking to the side of it will block the next trader from setting up. Please allow enough space for other traders to get past you while you unload.

Unloading

It is unloading only on the Market Place. Once you have unloaded please get back into your vehicle to park it elsewhere. You may erect your gazebo but must not start setting up your stall until you have moved your vehicle. All vehicles must be off site by 9:30am at the latest. If you arrive after 9:30am you will not be able to bring your vehicle onto the site.

Parking

The Town Council have kindly closed the Market Place to all traffic except us, so we can park on the Market Place but NOT behind your stall you will have to park the other side of the Market Place.

Your pitch

You are required to bring your own gazebo, tables and chairs for this event. Your pitch accommodates a 3m x 3m gazebo (unless otherwise arranged). Please also bring appropriate weights for your gazebo even if the forecast is for low winds.

Floorplan

• All traders will be trading in a semi circle
• You will be allocated a pitch ion arrival.
• Please find and speak to someone in a high vis before setting up your pitch to confirm you are in the correct place.
• If you plan to switch pitches with another trader please consult both Julia and the other trader first.
• Any special requests for pitch placement will have been taken into consideration.
• If you are unhappy with your pitch please make the event manager aware as soon as possible.

Electricity

Electricity will only be provided to those who booked in advance of the event. If you have booked electricity please bring appropriate connectors/adaptors and extension cables with you and ensure that all your equipment is PAT tested. The electric points are an industrial power socket and an extension cable or connector that fits into either a 32amp or 16amp 3 pin socket is required.

Please also bring a cable cover to cover your wires.

Wi-Fi
There is no Wi-Fi for this event but there is good 4G connection in the town centre.

Waste
Please take all of your waste with you as per our terms and conditions. We are unable to accommodate your waste. Any waste left on site will incur a clean-up fee form the council which we will pass on to you.

Pack up

• The event finishes at 3pm.
• Strictly no packing away before 3pm as this could become a safety issue with patrons still at the event.
• No vehicles allowed onsite till 3pm.
• Vehicles will enter the site the same way you drove in.

Health & Safety
Please make sure you have all your correct documentation with you in case Environmental Health officers turn up and ask to see it.

What to bring:

• A copy of your public liability insurance.
• A completed risk assessment
• Hand sanitizer for yourself and for customers if they are handling your products.

If you are serving food:

• A copy of your Food Safety Certificate
• Allergen information and risk assessment (including fire assessment if cooking)
• Appropriate sneeze guards covering your food
• Way of cleaning your hands before you touch food
• Appropriate floor covering to protect the ground against oil spills - oil spills could encour a clean-up fee from the council.

All traders must have public liability insurance. If you do not have these you will not be able to trade on the day.

Verbal/Physical Abuse
Please note that any verbal or physical abuse towards other stallholders, members of the public, caretakers or management will not be tolerated. Any stall holder exhibiting such behaviour will be asked to leave immediately and all future events booked in with us will be immediately cancelled.

Fire Procedures
In case of a fire or a major incident please evacuate the area and head across St George's Road (outside Prezzo). Please encourage customers to come with you. Do not re-enter the event site until the event manager says it is safe to do so. Please encourage customers to follow you.

Expected footfall

We will be running Facebook and Instagram adverts and listing the event on free and paid for online listings. Devizes Town Council have also been active in advertising the event on local radio and press.
