Terms and Conditions

Discovery Market Booking Terms and Conditions

1. General Information These terms and conditions apply to all traders booking a pitch at Discovery Market. By booking a pitch, traders agree to abide by these terms and any additional rules set by Discovery Market.

Discovery Market operates at the following locations and schedules:

  • Events Square, Falmouth – Thursdays and Saturdays from April to September (10 AM – 4 PM)
  • Molesworth Street, Wadebridge – The last Wednesday of each calendar month from April to October (9 AM – 4 PM)

Market curation is very important at Discovery Market. To avoid too many duplications of similar product offerings at each market, Discovery Market will accept or decline applications on a per-market basis. Traders may be offered a place on the waitlist for a specific date should there not be any availability on that date.

Discovery Market reserves the right to refuse any application or cancel a booking if necessary.

2. Booking Process Traders must apply for all dates via our booking and payment system at www.eventaly.com. All accepted traders will be invoiced directly after acceptance. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date to confirm the pitch. Pitches are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and are not confirmed until payment is received.

3. Fees and Payment Pitch fees:

Traders must ensure their stall setup is safe and presentable. Any additional equipment required must be supplied by the trader and approved in advance by the market team. Traders must not exceed their allocated pitch size.

5. Trading Hours and Attendance Traders must arrive at least one hour before market opening to set up. All stalls must be fully set up and ready to trade by the market’s opening time. Trading must continue until the market’s closing time, and all traders must vacate their pitch within one hour after closing. Late arrivals may forfeit their pitch without a refund. Traders must attend all pre-booked market days unless unforeseen circumstances arise.

6. Insurance and Compliance All traders must have valid Public Liability Insurance covering at least £5 million. Traders selling food and drink must comply with Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations and provide relevant documentation. Electrical appliances used by traders must have a valid PAT test certificate. Traders are responsible for ensuring their activities comply with all relevant laws and regulations.

7. Health and Safety Traders must maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. The use of gas appliances must be pre-approved and meet safety regulations. Traders must not obstruct walkways, emergency exits, or other traders’ stalls.

8. Conduct and Market Rules Traders must behave in a professional and respectful manner towards customers, fellow traders, and market staff. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. The sale of counterfeit, illegal, or inappropriate goods is strictly prohibited. Music or amplified sound must be kept at a reasonable level.

9. Cancellations and Market Changes Discovery Market reserves the right to cancel, relocate, or reschedule any market day due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, public safety concerns). If the market is cancelled by Discovery Market, traders may be offered an alternative date but will not be entitled to a refund. Traders who need to cancel their booking must do so via the Eventaly booking system. No refunds or credits will be issued for trader cancellations.

10. Data Protection and Privacy Trader information will be stored securely and used solely for the purposes of market administration and communication. Discovery Market will not share trader details with third parties without consent.
